The AI Fund CEO and Co-founder Summit

We’re having a gathering for CEOs and co-founders within AI Fund’s ecosystem to network and learn from seasoned startup and tech leaders on February 25, 2022.

Held at the Hyatt Centric Mountain View, the event will include a breakfast buffet, networking lunch, as well as guest speakers, panel discussions and fireside chats, with round table discussions after each presentation. The day will conclude with dinner at Domenico Winery.

Covid Safety

All attendees must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (2nd vaccination after Pfizer-BioNTech/Moderna or 1st vaccination after Johnson & Johnson).
Additionally, you must show proof of a negative antigen (rapid) test result taken within 12 hours or the results of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the event.
We will also be offering rapid tests at the venue, the morning of the event if you are unable to get tested in time.
Attendees must wear face coverings at all times, unless actively eating or drinking.

Meet the Presenters

Andrew Ng

Managing General Partner, AI Fund

A globally recognized leader in AI, Dr. Andrew Ng founded AI Fund in 2018. Additionally, he is the founder and CEO of Landing AI, founder of DeepLearning.AI, chairman and co-founder of Coursera, and an adjunct professor at Stanford University.

A computer science pioneer, Ng has written and co-authored more than 200 research papers in machine learning, robotics and related fields. He previously served as the founding lead of the Google Brain team and Chief Scientist at Baidu.

Andrew holds a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, a master’s degree from MIT, and a bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Chris Yeh is the co-author, along with Reid Hoffman, of Blitzscaling, the book that explains how to build world-changing companies like Amazon, Alibaba, and Airbnb in record time.

A writer, investor, and entrepreneur, Yeh has had a ringside seat in the world of startups and scaleups since 1995. His books help founders, venture capitalists, corporate leaders, policymakers, and everyday people better understand how the internet has changed the way we work together to build amazing organizations.

He holds an MBA from Harvard University and bachelors’ degrees in product design and creative writing from Stanford University.

Doug Landis

Doug Landis is passionate about creating go-to-market strategies that help companies scale and grow to become the next billion-dollar SaaS company.

Landis has spent 15+ years driving sales productivity and efficiency inside of the world’s top technology companies such as Box, Salesforce, and Google. Prior to joining Emergence, he served as Chief Storyteller and VP of Sales Productivity & Enablement at Box, a provider of content collaboration software with 1,700 employees and an annual revenue run rate of $600 million.

Israel Niezen

CEO & Co-founder, Factored

Israel Niezen leads Factored, an end-to-end tech talent augmentation firm and one of the fastest-growing companies in AI Fund’s portfolio.

He has more than two decades of experience leading high-performance teams and accelerating growth in enterprise technology. He’s launched and served in key leadership roles for multiple startups during his career. He was most recently at Telescope, where he helped oversee the firm’s acquisition and lead the company’s digital transformation.

He holds an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s in finance from the University of Central Florida.

James Lee

COO & Co-founder, Workera

James Lee helms day-to-day operations and go-to-market strategy for Workera.ai, an AI Fund portfolio company.

He has 20 years of enterprise and consumer startup experience, having founded, led and sold 3 companies. Lee was most recently at Udacity, where he served as VP of Global Operations and built Udacity’s Enterprise business. He has a BS degree from UC Berkeley and lives in the Bay Area with his wife and 5-year-old twin daughters.

Lyon Wong

Venture Partner, AI Fund

Lyon Wong’s experience combines investing and entrepreneurship. He is passionate about mentoring teams and has spent years studying in depth how teams form, grow and perform.

He’s the co-founder of Blameless, a site reliability engineering firm, and has invested in and advised numerous startups. Previously, he led the Search and Storage areas of Microsoft Windows. Wong holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a degree in systems design engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Michael Londgren

Advisor and fmr CMO, Seismic

Michael Londgren is a marketing leader specializing in scaling hypergrowth businesses. With three decades of experience across a cadre of elite tech companies, Londgren has served in marketing leadership roles for Google Cloud, DocuSign, Adobe, Apple, as well as a variety of startups. Most recently, he was CMO at Seismic, the leading sales enablement platform.

He holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA in international relations from Stanford University.

Perry Wu

General Partner, AI Fund

As a serial entrepreneur, Perry Wu has learned firsthand what is required to create an industry-defining company from the ground up. His work as an operating executive includes building a number of successful startups from their beginning, including two companies he founded, Persist Technologies (acquired by HP) and BitGravity (acquired by Tata).

Wu is also a seasoned venture investor who enjoys working with entrepreneurs early in their life. Prior to joining AI Fund, Wu worked at Accel Partners, Bedrock Capital, and ComVentures. He holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BS from Stanford University.
